Overview of the Race

Come join us for the fun-filled morning at Pulau Ubin! Hentam Ketam is the event to kick off the celebration of the launch of Ketam mountain biking trail @ Pulau Ubin.

The Duathlon Race - Registration Closed
This duathlon race is divided into two categories, namely Solo and Team categories. Solo category is designed for the more competitive cyclist while the Team category (team of 2) is tuned towards cycling enthusiasts who want to experience challenge and have some fun at the same time. Race participants will first start off with laps on their bikes around Ketam trail and finish off the race with a run.

Solo: Cycling, 3 laps around Ketam trail, 8km per lap. Running, 2 laps around another shorter trail, 600m per lap.
Team: Cycling, 4 laps around Ketam trail, 8km per lap. Running, 2 laps around another shorter trail, 600m per lap.

There are only two categories and are opened to both gender. No further breakdown of categories. For team riders, they are allowed to switch riders everytime they are back at the start/end point. It is up to the team to plan their strategy whether to change rider everytime.

Attractive prizes await the top three winners of each category! No one will walk away empty handed on race day. As long as you have signed-up for the race, you will be entitled to a goodie bag worth more than your registration fee of $20 ($15 for early-birds)! What’s more, you are also given a round trip bumboat ticket for you and your bike to Pulau Ubin! The best is yet saved for last: All race participants will stand a chance to win in the lucky draw with prizes worth up to $5000!

The Leisure Ride - Registration closes at 14th May 2008 2359hrs.
If racing is not your cup of tea and you wish to check out what the new Ketam Mt. Bike Park is about, you can also join us for a leisure ride after the race. To sign up for the ride, you must be a member of Togoparts and all you have to do is to indicate your interest under “Ketam Leisure Ride” found in the Events section on 17th May 2008 (Saturday).

What do you get by signing up? First, round-trip ferry tickets are given free only if you sign up in the Events section. Secondly, riders who successfully complete a lap around Ketam trail will be entitled to a chance in a separate lucky draw just for the leisure riders.
