" Protects stanchions & makes routine cleaning a breeze "

The Review
Its not as necessary as your chainstay protectors, but it certainly serves its purpose. Some + points for it in terms of aesthetic appeal. Comes in Red, Blue and Black. (So far I've seen Black only)

Strengths
It protects your stanchions from sand, mud and stone chips that my hit your fork, especially during off-road. Although very fine dust particles will still somehow find their way in, the fork boot reduces the amount of gunk and larger debris that could damage the fork. So far I have been using it through rain, sun and dust and it has been holding up well. The velcro suprisingly is still holding well without sign of giving way even though the boot is removed for cleaning or drying quite regularly. With this boot, i also find my lubrication on the stanchions tends to remain longer and it is not rubbed off by the boot.

Weaknesses
You have to cut it to just the right length of your stanchions. This can be troublesome. Usually you need to leave 2 or 3 mm excess allowance of the length to get the right fit.
Initially when the boot is new, you will find it difficult to wrap it around. Once it gets seasoned, re-fitting it is a breeze.
There is a left side and a right side, so just have to make sure you get the right one on the correct side.
One thing to note is that you must remove it for drying after wet rides, or risk damaging the sponge backing. Or worst still, have it 'melt' to your stanchions if you leave it on for a long period without maintenance and lubrication.
