Frame & Fork
Lets start with the frame. It’s made from Cannondale’s BallisTec Carbon material (medium and high modulus fibres). This makes for a frame which is very light and very strong, whilst being stiff for efficient energy transfer.
However, comfort is added by the natural damping qualities of carbon as well as SAVE PLUS technology (in both the frame and the fork). This micro-suspension helps to absorb road buzz as you pound along. Even on the longest, most epic journeys you’ll feel fresh.
A tapered steerer adds front end stiffness again helping with energy transfer, but also improves cornering with sharp precision - ideal in a rapid sportive...or busy commute.
Other small features such as internal cabling which keeps the aesthetics clean, whilst protecting your cables add value.
This frame is Di2 ready is you want to upgrade the drivetrain down the line.
Components
The Synapse 105 5 comes with, as you may have guessed, a Shimano 105 groupset. 105 is a performance system designed to get the most out of your effort. Light, reliable and crisp performance (every time) are why this groupset is so highly praised.
Shimano RS11 rims are sturdy and will keep you rolling smoothly over long distances - wrapped in tough Schwalbe Lugano tyres.
Womens specific saddle and handlebars help to give you a better fit on the bike, which comes in smaller sizes too.
