Frame

The Cannondale CAAD8 105 is designed with an Optimized 6061 Alloy Frame imbued with Synapse Active Vibration Elimination (SAVE) and Bottom Bracket 30 (BB30) technologies. Both are Cannondale-innovated technologies: SAVE has engineered flex in the frame and fork to reduce vibrations and even out tyre contact on uneven surfaces; BB30 stiffens the bike significantly and gives it reduced weight. The result is one stiff, lean green machine ready to take on the fields and hills. Its cool apple-green adds a nice touch of freshness to the bike’s overall countenance. Sizes range from 48-61 cm for a wide array of riders.

 

Componentry

The CAAD8 105 comes with Cannondale Ultra, Carbon blades, 1-1/8” which gives you a stiff and precise steering even on mountainous roads. The wheels hubs are Formula, RB-56 front and RB-5711 rear. Powered by the Shimano 105 11-speed groupset but with an FSA Gossamer chainset armed with aforesaid BB30 technology, it combines a compact 50/34 chainset with a Shimano 11-28, 11-speed cassette. Both brands combine to give you a bike with low enough gears to take you uphill yet high enough to pedal on the ascend. The brakeset is of Tektro R741 dual pivot cartridge pad, yet the brake levers are Shimano’s 105, combined to give you abundant stopping power even on wet roads.

 

Maddux Wheelset

The CAAD8 105 is graced with Maddux RS 3.0 Speed, 32-hole wheels which serve you well on hilly terrains. Complementing Maddux are Schwalbe Lugano 25c tyres which give you strong and abundant grip on both wet and dry terrain. The Schwalbe’s Active Guard gives you additional puncture protection, enabling you to take tough topographies with ease.

Cannondale has endowed the CAAD8 105 with its own in-house brand of goodies: the Cannondale C3, butted 6061 Alloy Compact handlebar is fixed to a 6061 Alloy, 31.8, 6 degrees stem. Its Cannondale Stage Ergo w/ Crmo Rails Saddle straddles a C3 Alloy, 27.2 x 300mm seatpost with flair and ease.
