Bianchi and Ferrari finally unveil their first collaboration bicycle after announcing partnership back in July. The SF01, as they call the bike, was first presented to the public at the Eurobike trade show in Friedrichshafen, Germany.
In essence, the SF01 (Scuderia Ferrari 01) is a Bianchi Speciallissima that features a bunch of customized components. Bianchi leaders plan to use this partnership to produce a full line of mountain, road, city, and e-bikes, by combining both companies’ engineering and design know-how.
“It is not about rebadging Bianchi bicycles, it is about designing and creating new pieces of art and performance.”
Bianchi SF01’s frame weighs 780g, is 55cm in size, and is available in two designs, the Rosso Corse and the Nero Setoso where the red and black elements are reversed.
Add ons Shimano Dura-Ace Di2, and Campagnolo Super Record EPS will also be available. Moreover, the bike features special edition components such as Fulcrum’s Speed 40C Carbon 1,420g wheels branded as Scuderia Ferrari and dressed in Pirelli P-Zero 25mm clinchers; and Asute One full-carbon saddle using a 3k weave, such as the one in Ferrari cars, weighing only 94g.
For now, the triathlon concept bike consists only of a partial front triangle and integrated bar/stem; the rest is still to come. More importantly, this will be the first actual product that both engineering teams have built together. They plan to finish the bike with electronic routing and internal hydraulic, and afterward apply the same methods to build other types of bicycles in collaboration between Ferrari and Bianchi.
