CCC Sprandi replaced by Nippo Vini Fantini at Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race

Nippo Vini Fantini, an Italian-Japanese Pro-Continental team will make its Australian racing debut at the Cadel Evan Great Ocean Road Race next month, replacing a from Poland, CCC Sprandi Polkowice who were originally announced as starters for the 1.HC event. Nippo Vini Fantini are the fifth Pro-Continental team confirmed for January 31 race which also feature nine WorldTour teams and an Australian national team.

As they’ve explained, CCC Sprandi Polkowice decided on an alternative start to its season due to financial reasons and will instead race the Dubai Tour which will be held on February 3-6, followed by the Tour of Qatar and Tour of Oman later that month.

Nippo Vini Fantini are currently in the middle on their training camp for the upcoming season in San Giovanni Teantino, Italy. They are set to race the 2.1 Tour de San Luis from January 18-24 in Argentina without confirming their rosters for either South America or Australia.
