SAFRA Tampines is delighted to collaborate with Bike Store* and bikeslinks.com on the first SAFRA Bike Fair and it hopes that the event will heighten the Clubâs offerings to NSmen and their families and enhance its image as a Sports Hub. In addition, SAFRA Tampines also hopes to expose the fairly new SAFRA Cycling Club to cycling enthusiasts as a platform to bond members with the same interest.
Highlights of the SAFRA Bike Fair include an introduction to Bike Fitting and a âliveâ demonstration of a static bike fit by Fitskuul on Saturday (6th April). Subsequently, a presentation of the more advanced dynamic bike fit which analyses the cyclistâs movement on the bike will happen on Sunday (7th April). Both sessions will happen from 3pm-4pm on the two days. Staff from the bicycle insurance company, First Principal will also be on-site throughout the Bike Fair to give talks on educating cyclists about bicycle insurance . Interested to learn more about adventure racing and triathlons? Mr Wilson Low, an Australian Mountain Bike Instructors Association -certified skills instructor and multisport/triathlon coach from MTBSkills will be present to share about his experience and the MTBSkills company from 5pm-6pm on Saturday (6th April) and Sunday (7th April). There will also be a Q & A session for those who are keen to find out more about the work which MTBSkills and Wilson are involved with.
There will also be the biggest congregation of used bikes at one location during the SAFRA Bike Fair which includes road bikes, mountain bikes and folding bikes, perfect for cyclists looking for an upgrade or good bargain! A âsilent auctionâ will also take place, whereby a stipulated price is stated on the bicycle and interested parties can leave their price offers. If the seller is satisfied with the price offered by the interested party, then the deal will be closed.

New to cycling and interested to join a cycling club but not sure where to begin? The SAFRA Cycling Club organizes weekly local rides on Friday nights and quarterly overseas rides.
