" CAMP LITE: ?the world?s lightest premium quality foldable bicycle? "

The Review
I like cycling and uses a bike to run to the nearby places. The bike I used got quite old, so I had plans to change it for a long time. I was searching for a bicycle that could satisfy my purpose and that lasts for a sufficiently long period. It was then I came across an advertisement that stated ?the world?s lightest premium quality foldable bicycle?. This caught my attention, because I always wanted to have one of those for a really long time but I never did, also the word ?lightest? was something attractive for a woman as it would be easier to carry. I went through the dealer?s website to see the specifications of the bicycle, which was very impressive. Therefore, I decided to go down and have a look at this lightest foldable bicycle.

The showroom had a wide range of models of bicycles, but I straight away went to the lightest foldable bike that I saw on the ad, it was called ?CAMP LITE?. As the ad stated, the bicycle was extremely light. It weighed just 9.7kg, but then can carry a maximum load of 119kg. The strength of this folding bike amused me. I would say it without any doubt that I have never seen any bike lighter than this.

The body of the bike is very sleek and stylish, with great aerodynamics. I was a bit more attracted to the kaki green colour. The colour was so unique, matte green with a metallic finish. Besides, there was another similar model, the ?CAMP LITE PRO?. I didn?t go for it because its performance was quite overboard for my purpose. In addition, it was 10.5kg, a bit heavier and expensive than the CAMP LITE.

Soon after the test ride, I did not wait for another moment, I straight away booked my piece. It costed $849, which was affordable for me. The store also had bike accessories like helmets, lights, bells, bottles and holders, and much more. I got a helmet, bell, lights and bottle holder at a great deal along with the bike.

It took 2 days to receive my bike. Though the dealer offered to drop the bike at my doorstep, I insisted for a pickup as lived in the neighbourhood. I was quite excited. I picked up the bike from the store in the evening. The weather was cold and windy and I was totally enjoying the ride back home.

The bike is exceptionally smooth. It has a 9 speed SENSAH SL shifter, the gear changes are clean and effortless.

The folding bike uses a mechanical caliper brake (Tektro RXI V Brake), which is found on most of the bike. But in the last 3 months use, I would say that there is a decrease in the performance of the brake. Now it?s not as efficient as it used to be. This is one drawback that I experienced with this bike. Although, it?s easy to clean and maintain a caliper brake when compared to other types of brake.

The foldable bicycle can be transformed to an extreme compactable size when folded. The initial dimensions of the bicycle are 125 (L) x 56 (W) x 95 (Ht) which can be reduced to 63 (L) x 30 (W) x 61 (Ht). How cool is that! This compatibility helps me in several ways. I don?t have to worry about finding a space at home to store my bicycle, I can just leave it in a corner without even anyone noticing it. Further, it is very convenient to move the bike in MRT and bus, even during peak hours.

The CAMP LITE uses a pair of KENDA 14 inch tyres, which has a good grasp on to the ground and I don?t face any issues of slipping even on the wet floor. The PROWHEEL crankset is of easy maintains. It can be taken out with an Allen key by all yourself for cleaning and simple to fix back as well.

I purchased the CAMP LITE from MOBOT, they offered me a warranty of 5 years on the frame and 1 year on the general parts and components. I had also taken my bike for a service about 2 weeks ago, and the service they provided was excellent. The staff of MOBOT was very pleasing and outgoing. They understood my needs and worked on it in a decent way. I would say that it?s hard to find places like this with quality service and pleasant staff.

Altogether, CAMP LITE is a perfect choice for people who are new with foldable bicycles at a reasonable price. As well as, consistent with the performance when maintained well.

this grip has been rated well in both this website as well as being the best of 08 mtbr reviews so you can't go wrong with these. They provide miraculously comfortable grip considering they're lock-ons, as well has having a nice and soft rubber surface that does not cause strain on your hands during long rides. In the rain, they perform well too-providing the same level of grip. Most importantly, they don't move once you mount them properly. Confidence inspiring and looking good on your handlebars (save for the length of the grip making it weird to install bar ends), this grip solves your gripping woes. Get them now.

Strengths
-freaking good grip contact
-lock on system stays locked
-no strain on palms for long rides
-improves your handling tremendously
-all-weather performance
-looks real good

Weaknesses
-probably the weight?
-the price is a bit on the high side
-hard to find them..they were out of stock in many shops when i called

" Slip free ,great grips "

Some treadlock glue on those tiny screws will do the trick.More for regular off roaders who tends to grip hard on the more technical trails and dont mind the extra weight for max performance.
I find the Rogue outlasting the yeti ones.
Still a 5 overall because IMO it is a great product.
The first batch suffers from poor finishing,so far the later ones are ok.

Strengths
Slip free
Easy to remove
Durable
Grippy
Less slipping lets u feel more confident on the technical part of the trails.

Weaknesses
Price is much higher then conventional grips.
Needs to check on those little allen Key screws ow and then.
Much heavier then conventional grips. Harder on the feel as compare to the same ODI non-lockjaw grips.

Better than your average grip, and aside from my gripe above, it's a pretty good product. Maybe I just bought a dud.

Weaknesses
The end plug keeps popping out, and it's really frustrating. I'm just worried that it'll pop out during a ride, and I'll end up with a gaping hole on one end of my handle bar.

Best grips I have felt in a while. I instantly liked it as I rode off with it attached on my handlebar. It felt very nice to grip and it almost became an enjoyment. . Not really too big a problem at all. Those who have death grips should survive a little better with these. I would like to even think that they were a little shock absorbing!
