Q. Do i need to ride 45km in a single ride?

A. No. You can accumulate your rides within the first week. So as long as it reaches 45km, you will be unlocking this achievement.

Q. Do i need to ride 45km in a single ride?

A. Yes, for this achievement, we require you to clock in at least 45km in a single ride session.

Q. Does the rides have to be consecutive for me to unlock the achievement?

A. No. As long as you record 10 activities with at least 4.5 km distance each during the whole challenge, you wil unlock the achievement.

All Day Errday

Q. Does the rides have to be consecutively done?

A. No. So as long as you record 10 activities with at least 10 km distance covered - regardless if you have done it continuously or not.

All-Star

Q. We are a team of more than 5, can we unlock this achievement?

A. No. To qualify for this achievement, your team must exactly have 5 members and each member must have at least 45km recorded under his profile.

ABOUT EVENT

Q. What are key rules which I need to take note while taking part in this event?

A. Yew Tee Community Club aim to foster a cyclist community who are committed to staying active and maintain good citizenry. While taking part in this challenge, we need all riders to abide by all health advisements and restrictions in your area prior to undertaking any physical activity.

Q. What are the dates and distance of the Yew Tee Community Club Challenge 2021?

A. The challenge period starts from 16th July 2021 (Friday 0000hrs) - 15th August 2021 (Sunday 2359hrs), Singapore time.

Q. When is the closing date for registration?

A. Registration closes on the 28th July 2021, 23:59hrs

Q. How much is the participation fee?

A. The participation fee is $5.

Q. Can I do indoor rides on a trainer or stationary bike and log that ride?

A. No, indoor rides will not be recognised for Yew Tee Community Club Challenge 2021.

Q. I have paid for the challenge, how will I know if my registration is successful?

A. All successful registrants will receive an email notification. If you are not sure if your payment is successful, please contact us at [email protected]

Q. Will there be Insurance coverage for this event?

A. No. as this is a virtual event and not a physical event.

Q. Is there any age limit far this event?

A. No, this event is open to all ages.

Q. How many members are allowed in a single team?

A. A team must consist of exactly five (5) members to qualify for achievements.

Q. How will I be notified if I am the mystery lucky draw prize winner?

A. The CC staff will notify you via email or SMS and the collection method.

Q. How will I know the number of mystery lucky draw chances I have?

A. After the tabulation, the information will be notified to you via email or SMS.

Q. Can my friends staying in other areas participate in this event?

A. Yes, this event is open to all staying in Singapore.

Q. I live outside of Singapore, can I still sign up and join?

A. No, this challenge is only open for all residing in Singapore.

Q. I have registered, what's next?

A. As we are using Togoparts to connect to your Strava account. Remember to use your STRAVA App to track all your rides during the challenge period. You can find Strava's authorisation link in our notification email. If you are using a non-Strava device to record your rides, please upload your rides to Strava. Just make sure the devices are Strava-compatible! Once the challenge starts, the leaderboard will be refreshed periodically to reflect your relevant completed ride details.

Q. Can I request for a refund?

A. There will be no refunds made once a participant has signed up. In the event where the participant is unable to complete the challenge due to unforeseen circumstances, no refunds will be made.

TRACKERS

Q. Where can I check my progress against other participants?

A. You can check the challenge leaderboard after it goes live on the first day of the challenge period.

Q. My ride does not show up on the challenge leaderboard or I do not see my username on the challenge leaderboard after authorising Togoparts to connect to my Strava account.

A. TThe challenge leaderboard will be refreshed periodically throughout each day. Please wait for your rides to be updated. If any irregularities occur, please email us at [email protected]. Please allow upto 48 hours for us to respond.

Q. How can I be sure I'm logging my distance for the challenge?

A. You will receive an email notification that registration was successful after you have registered. If you have already registered but yet to authorise Togoparts to connect to your Strava account, you will receive an email reminder to do so immediately.

Q. Can I log / ride multiple times to add up to the challange distance?

A. Yes. The beauty of virtual challenge is that you can log in your rides anytime and anywhere outdoors, even to the market, work or bike shop. Just remember to log your rides with the Strava app, or upload them to Strava if you are using another device for recording your rides. Just make sure the devices are Strava-compatible!

Q. Can I measure my distance using other apps or devices?

A. We require all participants to log their rides using Strava. You can use tracking devices like Garmin and upload your activities to Strava. If you have logged your activity with another app and not Strava, the system will not recognize uploaded activity.

Q. Sometimes I ride for very long distances. How do I ensure my battery does not run out?

A. To conserve your battery, let the Strava app run in the background while it is recording your activity. Here's a few steps you can follow:
Turn on location services for your mobile phone:
iOS: Settings Privacy Location Services Set to ON
Android (Samsung 6.0.1): Settings Privacy & Safety Set to ON
Turn on your Strava apps location services:
iOS: Settings Strava Location Set to While Using or Always"

When you go out for a ride, hit record and turn off your mobile phone's screen. Special thanks to user triton for sharing this information.

Q. Can I do indoor rides on a trainer or stationary bike and log that ride?

A. No,only outdoor rides will be recognised.

Q. Can I add my rides manually?

A. Manual input rides will be counted as indoor rides which is not recognise for this challenge.

Q. Why do some of my rides don't register?

A. Your rides may be uploaded late (a few days after the ride), especially for riders who use tracking devices like Garmin.
We advise you to upload your rides and activities at the soon as possible. If your Strava privacy setting is not set to public, our leaderboard will not be able to pull your activities and update it automatically. We advise you to change your privacy settings to public.
Strava web/app Settings Privacy untick ALL checkbox. For other technical issues, please contact us at [email protected] with your username and Strava Ride ID where available.

Q. The distance recorded by Strava is inaccurate, can you add the missing distance into that activity?

A. We are not able to edit the details recorded by Strava. We do advise participants to ensure that their GPS signal is strong throughout the ride and consistently check that Strava is recording.

Q. I use Garmin Connect / Movescount to track my rides. How do I link them to Strava?

A. You can log into your Strava account and click on this link: www.strava.com/upload/device

Q. Is it necessary to use the Strava iphone/android app to record my rides if I have another device such as a Garmin that I normally use?

A. No, you can continue to use your existing preferred device such as a Garmin Edge to record your rides, as long as you can sync and upload them to Strava. If you use both to record, we will adapt to recognise the distance from only 1 source.

Q. How do I record an outdoor activity?

A. Outdoor activities are activities that are supported by a GPS/Map data. You can record outdoor activities in multiple ways. You can use any tracking device that tracks your distance and is linked to your Strava Account. You can directly record your activities using the Strava App as well!

Q. How do I record an indoor activity?

A. Indoor activities are activities which does not contain any GPS/Map data and are manually added on Strava. >Alternatively, you can upload manual activities by clicking the + button on your Strava App and selecting Manual Activity. >Select Virtual Run or Virtual Ride as your activity type - then our system will automatically recognize such activity as ""Indoor"".

EVENT MERCHANDISE

Q. What do I get if I do not complete the challenge distance within the challenge period?

A. You are entitled to 2 mystery lucky draw chances when you unlock each achievements.

Q. Can I change the water bottle or neck buff after I bring it home?

A. No, both water bottle or neck buff are not exchangeable due to hygiene purposes.

Q. Is there sizing for the neck buff?

A. No. the neck buff is free size.

Q. Can I collect the water bottle and neck buff on behalf of friends?

A. Yes, you can collect on behalf of friends by showing us their copy of registraction receipt (physical or electronic) upon collection.

Q. How will i get my rewards?

A. Registered participants will show copy of registration receipt (physical or electronic) for the collection of the event merchandise at Yew Tee Community Club 20 Choa Chu Kang Street 52 #01-01 Singapore 689286.

Q. When can I collect my event merchandise?

A. Registered participants can collect events merchandise on 30 July (730pm to 9pm) and 31 July (430pm to 6pm).

Q. Why is Yew Tee Community Club holding this event?

A. Yew Tee Community Club organises cycling event for CSCs to participate through a common interest in cycling. Holding a virtual challenge for the community is the quickest and most accessible way for people to get involved.

I think someone is using the Strava App on an e-bike, motorbike or car.

A. It's a personal honour challenge as well as a physical one. We think cyclists have integrity and are honest about challenging themselves. Togoparts.com reserves the right to ignore the Strava entry due to dishonesty. Based on a case by case basis, we have the right to disqualify any participants at our sole discretion or should we find a participant in violation of terms and conditions of the challenge repetitively.

Q. How do you treat rides which are made against the Singapore Traffic Rules, for e.g riding on expressway?

A. The entire ride will not be recognised if any section of the ride activity is ridden on a Singaporean Expressway. Riding on the highway is not permitted in Singapore. We strongly urge all challengers to ride safely and abide by all traffic regulations of Singapore.

Q. Why are some of the postings being removed on Togoparts' challenge leaderboard and forum?

A. Togoparts.com will remove postings that are deemed inappropriate and which will adversely affect the spirit of the event.
