I phoned them this week to book a service for my road bike, spoke to the mechanic who said they are not accepting any new appointments as they are too busy.
I guess hiring another mechanic did not come to mind?
I am interested in picking up cycling as a hobby, so I went to the Punggol Oasis branch as I saw that Giant had some affordable entry-level hybrid bikes (Escape series) and wanted to find out more from the shop, and maybe even make a purchase if I end up falling for the bike.
This discovery process was cut very short by the experience I had in the shop.
Went in to the shop and was looking around without being approached by anyone. There were 2 people in the shop, a lady at the counter and a dude repairing a bike. In the end I couldn't find the model I was looking for so I decided to approach the dude.
Me: Hi, can trouble you to point me to the Escape 2?
Dude: *Mumbles something*. Doesn't look at me.
Me: Sorry? I didn't catch that.
Dude: Continues ignoring me while grumbling in an irritated tone "No stock"
He doesn't even bother looking at me while answering. Maybe it's cos I was asking about a very low cost model or just that he was immersed in his repairs.
In any case, they just lost a customer.
However, credit where credit is due, the shop is very nice, with many shiny new models and accessories placed throughout the shop!
Go if you like to be treated like rubbish by Tay's wife.
Dealing with Mr Tay is very straight forward and his one price policy is always very fair and reasonable. No need to bargain anymore always good price.
Had an upgrade on my gear full set and it was a good set-up never had any mechanical issue.
