STOCK My first foldable bike to try out the hype about foldies. At S$350 - S$400, the Raleigh Broadway 20 is one of the cheapest 'branded' bike in the market. Comes in black, red or orange colours. The paint-job, though not as inspiring as Tern's or Dahon's, is beautifully done in hi-gloss automotive finishing.Came stock in a full aluminum frame, plastic folding paddles, Shimano SL-TX50 7-speed shifter, Shimano Tourney rear derailleur, Shimano cassette, Avenir saddle, Tektro v-brakes & Promax brake levers, Promax headstem, aluminum seatpost, front & rear fenders and a Dahon licensed folding style.However, due to the limited 7 speeds, hill-climb isn't easy and acceleration is lacking. The stock rims are also heavy and uninspiring. At 12.5kg, the Broadway 20 certainly isn't the lightest foldie in the market. With a basic but reliable and sturdy frame, this bike is made for daily commute. I've rode this bike on the roads, parks, and even Pulau Ubin's rocky pathways and it never fail me. CURRENT MODIFICATIONSNot willing to leave the bike stock, I decided to personalise the bike to my liking. Managed to lighten the bike to around 11kg with current mods.• Shimano 9-speed Alivio Shifters• Shimano Alivio 9-speed Cassette• Shimano Alivio Rear derailleur• KMC red chainset• Ergon GC2 grips and barend handles• Weinmann Star 18 red rims with Novatec hubs• Maxxis Overdrive Elite tires • Jagwire cables in red housing• Red Velo saddle• MKS detachable aluminum paddles• Full aluminum anodised black seatpost• Custom red decals
