Are you looking for a road bike that is comfortable to ride over 100 km without the usual complaints like sore arse, painful lower back, achy neck, numb fingers or worse, numb nuts? For sale is an used but well taken care of alloy frame, 10-speed Cannondale Synapse road bike. About 3 years old but still kept in very good condition with no rust. Serviced regularly, with OCD owner degreasing, washing and re-lubricating the drivetrain every month after a few weekend rides --- see the clean, non-greasy rear cassette in photo attached. No parts need to be changed: the tires were in place since Aug 2020; the brake pads are thick and stop the bike quickly even when going down a slope; and most importantly, the Shimano gears and cranks change responsively and smoothly from big to small and vice versa. Oh alright, change the handle bar tape for hygiene reason. The profile of the bike is "endurance", meaning that the handlebar is relatively higher than that on a "racing" road bike. This more upright, less aggressive seating geometry makes it much more comfortable on your lower back over those long ECP rides to Changi Village or riding in the city. Although it is not 7-kg light like those 8,000 dollars road bike, this Cannondale Synapse is no slouch as even an older, weekend cyclist like me was able to pedal up to the peak of Mount Faber on it (see 2nd photo attached). FYI, my height is 178 cm and this 56 cm frame should fit riders of 174 -182 cm height. Not Giant, Trek, Merida, Polygon, Btwin.
