The 24.3 Shadow is not an ordinary alloy rim. It starts with the unusual width of 24mm external and 19mm internal (versus 20mm ext, 15mm int). This is also to say that there is a much larger internal space and air volume for the inner tube. That translates to better ride qualities in terms of rolling, cornering and stability.

It also comes with a respectable height of 31mm to further improve the rim aerodynamically.

In contrast to traditional narrow rims , this 24mm external width provides smoother airflow around the tires to the rims, optimising the aero properties without the demand for an excessive height.
