National cyclist Vincent Ang has landed himself in hot soup again.
The cyclist, who won a bronze medal at the SEA games here earlier this year, has now made headlines for allegedly assaulting a fellow teammate. The allegation is now under investigation by the police.
Ang Kee Meng (unrelated), the alleged victim, lodged a police report after he was hit twice on separate occasions following an argument during their training ride last week. The assault reportedly left Ang with bruises to his head.
The incidents begun as a result of a move made by another teammate Calvin Sim while the group was riding, which caused displeasure to Vincent Ang. When Ang Kee Meng tried to defend Sim, Vincent Ang allegedly decided to hit him on the back twice whilst still riding.
Afterwards during breakfast at Adam Road hawker centre, Vincent Ang confronted Ang Kee Meng again and hit him on the head.
This is not the first time Vincent Ang has found himself amidst controversy.
Earlier this year, pictures of him cycling with his two-year-old song in one hand and mobile phone in the other surfaced online. This caused much uproar amongst the online community as he was also wearing the national colours.
The incident is concurrently under investigation by Singapore Cycling Federation, the national governing body of cycling here.
