Quota of athletes also allocated to each of the 38 NOCs

According to the Olympic qualification system calendar for mountain bike, the NOCs have until June 15 to confirm the number of athletes entered. The UCI will reallocate all unused quota places by June 30.

38 National Olympic Committees (NOC) qualified for the cross-country mountain bike events set during the Rio 2016 Olympic games were announced by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).

The quota of athlethes for allocated each NOC have also been announced.

NOCs have until June 15, 2016 to confirm the number of athletes that will be entered. Places not allocated by then will be reallocated by the UCI by June 30.

The UCE website has also been updated to show the UCI Qualification Rankings, as well as the Olympic qualification systems for cycling’s four Olympic Disciplines.

Mountain bike competitions will be held at the Mountain Bike Centre, in Deodoro Olympica Park, and is scheduled on August 20 and 21.
