Marin got off to a bad start during this year’s Eurobike, says a local news report in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Thieves broke into a storage area and made off with eight of the 20 or so bikes stored in the room at the Marin boot on Monday

Chris Holmes, brand director for Marin came inn on Tuesday morning and found the remaining bikes arranged in a haphazard manner. He realised something was amiss, and looked through the inventory to see what was missing.

Thieves stole what appeared to be random bikes, from a low end $500 bike all the way up to a rare Attack Trail Pro carbon enduro bike worth a cool $9,350.

Fortunately for Marin, three classic mountain bikes showcased for its 30th anniversary were safely packed in boxes and still left untouched.

Police reports have been made and show offcials were informed of the theft.
