Passing Of Mr Lee Kuan Yew- Road Closures

Some lanes of Clementi Road will be closed from 8am to 8pm, to facilitate the state funeral procession from Parliament House to the University Cultural Centre on Sunday (Mar 29).

SINGAPORE: Multiple roads around Parliament House and leading up to University Cultural Centre (UCC) at the National University of Singapore will be closed for several hours on Sunday (Mar 29), for the state funeral for Mr Lee Kuan Yew.

Some lanes on Clementi Road and Kent Ridge Crescent will be closed from 8am to 8pm the Traffic Police announced on Friday.

Special traffic arrangements have also been made to facilitate the state funeral procession from Parliament House to UCC. Traffic is expected to be heavy along the following roads from 12.30pm to 2pm, when the gun carriage, carrying Mr Lee’s casket, makes it way along a 15.4km route.

  • Shenton Way
  • Keppel Road
  • Cantonment Road
  • Kampong Bahru Road
  • Jalan Bukit Merah
  • Queensway
  • Commonwealth Avenue West
  • Commonwealth Avenue
  • Clementi Road

Traffic is also expected to be heavy along the following roads to facilitate the procession from UCC to Mandai Crematorium from 4pm to 6pm.
