Guru’s first participation at this year’s Eurobike, they are introducing their latest Photon HL frame, an exceptional frame that is made entirely in Canada and is at the top of its class in stiffness to weight ratio. HL stands for Hyperlight, the lightest road bike frame in the world, weighing in under a featherweight 650 grams. Notable improvements for this year’s model is a new tapered 1-⅛”- 1-¼” headtube which has improved stiffness while reducing the overall weight, also new is the dropout technology which has also been optimized to reduce even more weight which helped the designers further refine the carbon layup for other areas of the frame which required improvements.
Also revealed at the show is their renewed Titanium frame the Praemio R Disc, a disc bike equipped road frame which features a new and completely redesigned rear triangle. The unique dropout technology called Open Architecture Dropout allows for the use of either a thru axle or quick release system, it also caters to a wider variety of rim and tyre sizes, all based on a static asymmetric chainstay design. The titanium tubes are also shaped using a revolutionary bending process which results in even more frame stiffness and higher drivetrain rigidity.
