I had never thought much of this fork at first but after some tuning and riding, it has greatly exceeded my initial expectations. First surprise was its ability to track bumpy terrain with superb precision. With the correct rebound settings, the fork is able to tackle simultaneous bumps without packing up.
Compared to the SID, the duke is nowhere as flexy or light, but it makes up for the latter in the form of 30mm stanchions providing the stiffest ride possible. This stiffness complements the lock-out feature which has a big hit BOV for those unexpected bumps.
Tuning the duke was amazingly simple. Adjusting sag is only a matter of setting the positive air chamber while rebound and compression damping are conveniently adjustable thru external knobs located on either ends of the right fork leg.
The only thing i'll ever complain about the duke is its weight. On the other hand, its superb contour tracking characteristics makes this fork praiseworthy.
Big stanchions (30mm) ensures a lvl of stiffness,
lock-out equipped with big hit blow off valve,
Great fork with fantastic looks and function. Has a lock out feature that totally stops the fork from moving when turned on. Plush enough for a rider of my weight >50 kg and can adjust the stiffness with the air pump. The sticker of mine has peeled off slightly cause of a crash. But overall i am satisfied with this fork.
Great looks with great performance.
Lock out ( tho i hardly use it )
Sticker peels and scratches easily but hell if you want it to be in mint condition then i guess you won't find out what the fork can do. Squeals a tad when it compress but i guess it is cause of the air , or there is something wrong with my fork but it doesn't bother me enough to complain. And also abit on the expensive side for an average fork.
