" Good buy "

Overall Rating

The Review
Can't say more than what's already been said by the rest of the reviewers here. Comfy, good build quality, suffers from being a little too roomy, cleats have a nasty tendancy to crunch the ground. That said, it does the job that it was built and advertised for - leisure MTB shoe with respectable qualities

Weaknesses
A little too roomy, feet dance inside the shoe, power transfer suffers
Soles are not stiff throughout
Cleats are not that recessed

Duration of product used
1 year

" No regrets! "

Overall Rating

The Review
My 1st pair of spd shoes, i had a choice of a 70 bux specialized shoe (actually i didn't really haf a choice at tt time cos they didn't haf my size) n these. chose adidas despite the higher cost cos i had wanted it all along as well as the reason i mentioned earlier.

While pedalling, this shoe is extremely comfortable. could walk in these, but feels a little strange. i have only gone off road 2 or 3 times with these, but i can tell that it has a good grip on those steep slippery slopes.

Strengths
Aggressive thread, good for pushing up slopes at BT if u need. (ok, i still do sometimes =P)
Reccessed cleat prevents cleat from wearing out when walking.
Stiff plate over cleat gives more efficient power transfer as compared to sneakers.
Comfortable to wear.
Durable and scuff resistant.
Price is reasonable imho, not say cheap but u will get what u pay for.

Weaknesses
Sole too stiff to walk about comfortably for long.
Cleat still grinds n crunches on uneven ground.
Somehow, after getting these, the paint on my cranks has chipped off in quite a few places.

Duration of product used
3 months

Bike Setup
'01 NRS 3 Aleoca alu HT BMX made of some ferrous alloy.

" Huge toe box, comfy, not a racing shoe "

Overall Rating
Reviewed on: 22nd Dec 2001 from Singapore

The Review
This is no racing shoe, they are designed for the person who would like cleats in a shoe that they can walk about in(though not for long, they are still stiff). Basically your average joe six-pack who likes to ride.
Which basically describes me to a T.
I am no racer, and will never be a racer(though sometimes I like to pretend I am) and these shoes are perfect for what I use them for.
They are roomy, comfortable, nice looking and tough, and quite stiff too add. They are not racing shoes, so don't expect them to come anywhere close being as stiff or as snug as your Sidis or XC-1s.
It's a good shoe to consider if you want something that you can ride with and go out in(if you want).

Weaknesses
- Not super stiff
- Miss the snugness of my Answers
- Have to cut the sole and put in plate and paste PVC layer over the hole. They could have inbuilt the plate.
- cushioned cuff, not a major problem, but to does rub against the crankarm time and again.
- synthetic nylon material looks like it can potentially trap dirt.
- laces
