Was just back from Pengarang last week.
Yep, passenger S$11, bike S$2.  Note that the return trip to Singapore will be in Singapore currency.  The boatman is NOT accepting Ringgit.

I am back! From Changi point ferry terminal to Tg Pengileh jetty. Yes, its $11 per passenger plus bike xtra $2. On return, Paid in ringgit of 20 per pax and xtra 5 for bike. Probably paying in SDG depending on timing and the boatman? Tg Pengileh jetty side bumboat payment is unpreditable and dun be caught in surprised. So dear fellow cyclists do have enough of RM or SDG to get on a bumboat back. Enjoy riding in the Pengarang and enjoy the seafood there.

Yes yes,

7 bucks was donkey years back. It would be great to be $7 for the bumboat fee and under 10 bucks. It just increases, due to oil prices from which kona-bros heard. Fees from 7 bucks to 11 bucks and boat ride duration from 45mins to 60 mins. Still worth the ride. Enjoy.

Dear XC90,

Tanjong Pengileh is the jetty, where the place we take bumboat ride back changi village. 1 hour bumboat ride. Nothing much to see at jetty. The nearest town we usually cycle there is sungei ringit(Si Wan Dao) 18km away from jetty, where cyclists cycle there for cheap and delicious seafood, especially the steam baby lobsters, seafood, bak kut teh, chee cheong fun & etc. after a shiok ride. Terrian is generally flat and open. this month especially hot. For a kid to cycle may be 'siong' for their level. May suggest get an adult to accompany kids hop on into taxi. another 5km away from town, do visit ostrich farm and pay some entrance fees and get souvenoirs. Usually cyclists called pengarang, may refer to sungei ringit town or desaru for example.

bumboat now around 90minutes because of the longer loop the bumboats have to take due to pulau tekong construction.

inline with the topic... sometimes the boatman increase a dollar if its a holiday.
