Topic: How safe to ride on the road along West Coast Highway?

For discussion and sharing if you have experience in riding along west coast highway during peak hours like 7.30am to 8.30am.

1)How safe is it?
2)Would you recommend it as a daily commute route?

I see not much risk if you are only cycling along the footpath (sometimes those semi-traillers do mount the foopaths). As for cycling along the Lane 3, there, I hope to persuade everybody, that not all drivers are as careful/skilful as we all like them to be. I am more concerned with Class 4, driving PRIVATE buses than those Class 5, driving semi-traillers. Class 5, are really a little better drivers, for cyclist. Hope these can help.
