Hi guys

I am interested to cycle from fort road to marrina barrage but currently it is still not linked from east coast.

From my understanding, it is possible to go over there via indoor stadium. Anyone care to share the route or provide any other alternative. Thanks.

I tried this last week. It is not possible at the moment because way is fenced off by the Gardens by the Bay ongoing project.

Hey, we did exactly that just last Sat with a group of 8 at night.

Fort Rd->National Stadium Carpark->Nicoll Highway->Esplanade->ECP Entrance->Follow the "Marina Barrage" sign-board.

Dont go at peak period, too much traffic. On Sat, anything after 9PM should be OK.

Watch out for Danger point -> the tipper trucks for the Casino Construction @ marina.

Nice view at Marina Barrage, push your bike up. Switch off your light when you reach the top as not to "expose" too many other happenings....ha ha

Enjoy your ride....

Haha thanks a lot..

Alright just to  confirm:

So it is not possible to go through there by kallang River?

It is allowed to cycle through Nicoll Highway. Not illegal right lol? Dont want to get stop by the traffic police.

Thanks again for being so helpful

So it is on the ECP path all the way to Marina Barrage huh?

Yah, the Kallang River way along the river bank is blocked by the fence/boards put up.

Yes, it *is* possible to get through on your bike from both Tanjong Rhu and Fort Road, but it's not at all convenient and the latter could land you in trouble.  The following are as-of two months ago, so conditions may have changed.

Coming from Tanjong Rhu, follow the river/coast under Benjamin Sheares bridge, keeping to the water side of the MB gardens fence.  It's a bit hairy having to carry your bike over or around one or two places.  After a very bumpy km or two along the top of the water's edge you'll end up at the barrage.

The other way is via Fort Road.  You need to enter via the construction road entrance by the fort road/east coast round about.  (or cut through from the bike path further west of the roundabout if you can find a way). Work your way around to the right and navigate around the south side of the golf course till you reach the MB barrage.  Work has commenced on the new expressway joining ECP and Marina Bay, so this may not be possible.
