Topic: How do you deal with cyclists with blinding lights?

Posted on: 18th Jul 2016 9:43 PM    Quote and Reply

I looked up, there is one thread here that talks about this but the OP requested for proper/better etiquette.

On the other hand, I want to know how you guys here handle the situation. I want to go with the flow. I wanna know what is the most common way you guys currently handle this situation.

I do not intend to start an unhealthy discussion. Just say how you do it, there's no need to justify it as that might provoke counter-justification by others who are doing it differently. You can also PM me your "reply" instead of posting here.

To be polite, I use the same method as when driving a car and the oncoming vehicle has forgotten to switch off the hi-beams, just divert focus down and away from the light source. This helps to avoid being blinded which can happen if you look directly at the strong light.
