Hi,

Newbie starting to start biking again after some years to haitus; used to do 60-100KM a week, but stop due to personal reasons.
Inheriting a road bike from a friend and need some recommendation to start again.

Staying in the southern end of Singapore, around Chinatown. Need some recommendations on shops I can go browse for helmet, shoes and Look cleats.

Also, would appreciate any recommendations on routes.

Cheers!

Hup Leong at Chin Swee Road is a good place to start.
They have most of the stuff you'd be looking for. Price-wise, can compare with online shopping I suppose.
I have bought most of my bike stuff online.

There is Bike settlement near waterloo, bike terminal at chinatown for accessories, slightly westward, you have Radstation and Rodalink near Commonwealth MRT, Bikes and Bites, Treknology and 12 cycles along Bukit Merah.

Everybody is near everywhere in Singapore.....lol

i live in Bedok and am working in Tuas on site at the moment, that's almost as far as it gets and its only half an hour if I go early and comeback early. Had much longer car commutes in pretty much every other country I've ever worked in.
