Hi here are some tips to choose a folding bike. First u want to get one which is at least 8 speed in order to be able to upgrade it in the future. The frame of the bike is the most important aspect of the bike so choosing a good frame is important. Dahon n tern bikes have good solid frame. Mybikeshop is a good place to get ur first folding bike. Go test ride each n every model to feel the difference of each bike. Hope u find ur dream ride. Cheers.

tern D8 , easy foldable, can put alot of mounts for racks. more branded & regonisable worldwide. But only 8 speed & grip twist shifters (stock).

Java fit, cheaper, 2x8 speed, (crank 2 speed, back 8 speed) shimano rapid fire trigger shifter (stock). cheaper than D8. But need to buy your own velcro to hold the fold,  not many rack mount points.

Both are easily upgradable.
