Topic: A platoon of cyclist at the PCN bridge going to Punggol Jetty

Was returning back from Punggol Jetty towards Sengkang at the PCN around. 11:30 am when lo and behold, coming from the reed bank side came an endless array of cyclist passing over the bridge. Momentary halt for me and a few other bikers as we gave way to the massive stream of around twenty plus robust bikers  I assumed.

Noticed a senior guy marshaling at a corner waiving his kakis on. This group were composed of various bike types, age and gender. I saw MTB's, roadies and foldies galore in full proper bike regalia and all smiling and exhilarated. One biker coming in the last batch I saluted with a comment of" my your group is really large" eliciting a smile from him snd the stationary marshal.

By the way, that morning  I was the cyclist on a White Santa Cruz Suoerlight and I was very happy to see fellow bikers in such a large ocelot on or convoy.

Anyway this morning  was really shady and breezy, ideal conditions to enjoy a ride and to tell you frankly, the PCN to Punggol was teaming with group riders but the aforementioned convoy was the largest.

That's probably the Singapore Cycling Tours Meetup group doing their round island PCN ride yesterday. Group in total was about 70.

Can't help having visions of a platoon of paratroopers riding in Punggol.

I believe the collective term is "peloton of cyclists".

Unless they're literally from the same (military) platoon, then I stand corrected

Should that be "correct" instead of "collective" or are you using "collective" in the sense that it is widely known among a particular group?
