This is what happened the last time I tried to ride one.

SIM37,

Many thanks. Was that a trike on test-drive/drifting practice? I did not know a trike can be that slippery

chrislawson2,

Many thanks. Was the camera out of focus just a joke, or the cameraman also fell backward. I hope no one badly hurt by the fall(s). Was it a fall off a recumbent bike/trike?

Anyone with recumbent bike expereince/exposure to share?

Its a drift practice, floor was wet, it was tiles at changi V, outside the hawker center, opposite mr bikes enterprise.

That was a fort road to CV and back ride. Cannot drift on road, too much grip

SIM37,

Many thanks for your clarification

Ken Buangster,

Last year, someone told me he bought his recumbent bike while working in UK. I did not enquire on the price and I lost his phone number when my mobile broke down later. Some website prices seems to varies quite a lot, so no idea really how much one will cost

Hi There,

Not easy to spot a recumbent in Singapore..Btw,  recumbents available in 2 wheels bike  or 3 wheels trike.

Just for your knowledge... or reference, Model FRP trikes with deore parts retail around S$1600.

kiatkiat,

Yes, yellow in colour and if I do remember correctly owned by Mr. Awyong/Auyong, a middle-aged gentleman

bikeplus,

Many thanks for your advice. It seems I am undersized physically for most of those recumbent bike/trike models, so the bike fit not compatible. All the seats seems to be designed for temperate climate usage, and I would have barbequed my butt and back on a hot day, or get bedsores. Surprisingly the smaller models are heavier ones, too

Meowfifa,

Many thanks for your advice. I have not yet visited Cycle Corner this year

Anyone else with recumbent bike/trikes expereince/exposure to share? (looking at feasiblility of replacements for existing steel road bike starting to corrodes)
