can tourist claim gst when buying bicycles in singapore?

You should be able to claim, but the troublesome part, you have to show it physically in the airport itself, when you are claiming the tax rebate.

The shop you bought the bicycle from must participate in the GST refund scheme. if they are not, then you cannot claim back the GST at the Airport.

In case anyone is wondering.. I manage to claim GSt at the airport (About 6% with service tax). The LBS I bought my bike was participating in the GST scheme. Just bring your passport when paying for the bike and they will issue the receipt for you to claim at the airport.

There is a counter to claim GST rebate outside the airport before you checkin, bring your bike there for them to confirm your purchase.
