Hi, dont know if this is a stupid question, but since im going to tokyo and im looking for a new shimano groupset i thought i might as well find out more bout this.

So would shimano products cost less in tokyo since shimano is a japanese brand?

Thanks for any advice!

O, and if i were to buy i would be carrying it in my luggage.  So no shipping costs involved.

I think only Shimano's top of the line stuff are made in Japan, eg. Dura Ace components.

They have factories in China and Malaysia for other stuff.
