converting single speed to fixie

hi all, i have a fuji feather and a 16T cog and lock ring set. i'd planned to convert the fuji feather to a fixie as it came as an SS bike when I bought it and I've read everywhere that it supports riding fixed, but i can't fit the cog into the hub/cassette as it looks like this (the other side has a freewheel), making the cog impossible to screw in. do i need a special kind of cog? please advise.
