I bought a fairly new, but used Lamborghini through a seller from Togoparts. The headset is a little loose. I sent the bike to GP for a check. I thought that all i need to do is a little tightening or something. The owner ask if the bike was bought directly or used, upon knowing it was used, I was quoted $50 immediately. He says if the bike was bought directly from him, it will be $30. He is not interested to serve owners that bought used bikes. I argued that what if i were to ask the previous owner to bring the bike down, he says but he already know this bike is sold! I wanted to leave the place and send the bike to the bicycle shop just a few shops away. Then he reluctantly says he will reduce the charges to $30.
I wanted to understand that for the charges of $30 or $50, will there be any parts that is needed to be change. He says he has to remove the whole fork, (which of course he got to do that, if not how are you going to adjust the headset), got to clean it, and fix it back. So in short, its just some tightening.
It is such a shame that Lambo got such a money minded distributor to represent the brand.
Will not consider to buy anything from them! Will definitely not go back too!
Will want to give a negative 10* if there's such an option!
Friendly, knowledgable, reasonably price, latest models, convenient location.
What else to look for in a bikeshop but all the above.
