Switzerland dominates Men's Elite podium, Bresset repeats Olympic-winning performance
Swiss Sweep
Switzerland's Nino Schurter wins the Men's Elite XC World Championships on Saturday (his second World Champ title) in Saalfelden, Austria, indicating he is still in top form after coming in second during the London Olympic Games which happened just a month ago. Another two Swiss riders, brothers, Lukas and Mathias Fluckiger rounded up the podium, coming in second and third respectively.
Bresset, Olympic and World Champion
Recently-crowned Olympic Champion, Julie Bresset of France has accomplished the rare double: winning both Olympic and World Champion titles in the same year. However, in this case, she won both titles within a span of about a month. Ex world champion Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjaa (Norway) took second place and Olympic bronze medallist, American Georgia Gould, came in third.
