Industry Nine Torch C46 Aero Wheelset

The Torch C46 Aero Wheelset utilizes the latest Reynolds Aero series rims swathed in DET technology, featuring a gaping brake track width of 26mm and a maximum width of 27mm, and the fastest, most aerodynamic optimized profile Industry Nine has to offer. Designed with a sharp trailing edge, the C46 Aero better maintains air attachment in crosswinds to greatly improve handing in windy conditions, while still minimizing drag to maintain top speed.

The C46’s Reynolds Aero rim is laced to Industry Nine’s Torch series road hubs which have also been given the aero facelift. Couple that with the 20H Front/24H hubs with the 2:1 rear lacing pattern and you’ve got and excellent stiffness to weight ratio that is willing and able to handle miles of road abuse.

For the latest version of the Industry Nine Torch C46 Aero Wheelset, a 24 hole 2/1 lacing pattern is used on the rear wheel. This pattern reduces wheel weight and works to even out spoke tension and maintain maximum durability. Torch rear wheels feature 16 spokes on the rear drive side flange, paired with 8 opposing spokes. Due to the rear wheel dish caused by the cassette on the rear wheel, this orientation evens out spoke tension. As a result, peak stress loads are reduced on the spokes and rim, as well as the fatigue cycle incurred in a traditional 24 spoke wheel - allowing a lower spoke count and lighter weight, without the durability issues and increased rim weights
